Quasi – Continuous Recording and Controlled Sweep Signals Both Increase Productivity of Standard Cabled Acquisition and Image Resolution

- 3D field experiment comparing Slip Sweep, synchronous simultaneous psuedo-random signals (shuffle) and ISS.
- Looked at ways to enable a cabled system operation to employ ISS style shooting. Continuous recording acquisition is successfully tested.
- Acquisition productivity may be increased with ISS like methods performed by standard vibroseismic crews.
- Final images do not much depend on acquisition methods but mainly on sweep signals employed.
- The Broadsweep signal provides for better resolution and geological object delineation.
- New controlled pseudorandom sweeps potentially can increase both productivity and SNR.
